ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client that is seeking a Web Engineer in Madison, WI. Position Overview: Under the direction of Technical Manager, the Back End Engineer is responsible for the design and development of a wide range of tools and Back End applications that comply with company policies and procedures. Duties include working with cross-functional teams, scrum masters, supervisors, other R&D team members, and managers to develop applications specified by the business and product owners. The Back End Engineer will work to identify areas of improvement in the entire product life cycle of existing and new products on the Web R&D Engineering team.Primary Job Duties:Develop and maintain highly available APIs for our largest partners and products.Understand API documentation and interface with the API.Implement scalable applications that meet business requirements and can be distributed globally.Participate in technical design of new applications and products.Enforce code standards and review other developer's code.Be a self-managing, full participant in cross-functional agile teams: define tasks and assignments and complete them by committed dates and timelines and help teammates do the same.Be a strong advocate for product quality.Work across R&D to build a best-in-customer service approach for the betterment of our customer's experience.Work directly with all other global development functions including DQA, console software, hardware, and other engineering teams for testing and validation of the product.Seek personal professional development, especially along the Automation Engineering skillset, and assist others in their development.Requirements:Minimum of four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.3-5+ years of Back End or full stack Web Development.3+ years of Node.js or Deno.3+ years of RESTful API Consumption and Development.2+ years of experience with AWS (ELB, EC2, Lambda, etc.).2+ years of NoSQL Databases (MongoDB or Dynamo).The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable.
