This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO. The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.This position will support the test effort for development of multiple ground-based mission systems and operations center from program inception to test verification and deployment. The Specialist Integration & Test Engineer will define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities while working with a team comprised of multiple internal organizations and subcontractors for the full integration and test of the mission system. The test engineer will be a point-of-contact for the government customer for test planning and will coordinate across government and stakeholder offices to define the test and evaluation plan.Essential Functions:Professional with strong knowledge of job areaImplement strategic goals established by project leadershipStrong communication skills with internal team, customers, and vendorsSystem Integration and Test engineer responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of System Under Test (SUT) software and hardware componentsExecute all levels of testing (Integration, System and Acceptance)Configure and maintain production-like test environmentsI&T support overseeing subcontractorsSystem Level I&T for developed control processingTesting and troubleshooting issuesDocumenting issues into bug tracking toolDevelop test plans, test cases, and testing scripts for manual and automated testing, maintain testing records, document and report discovered problemsExperience in Agile & DevOps methodology and cultureProficient at JIRA/Confluence (or equivalent)Advocate for test priorities in daily scrum meetings and sprint planningClear and concise documentation of software issuesCollaborate closely with the SW development teamAnalyze user stories/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibilitySkilled in radar theory and principlesLead test development and peer review activities with little supervision. Ensure complete and accurate test coverage. Create test to requirement traceability matrix.Attend and participate in project planning and execution meetings as requiredAbility to travel up to 15%Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experienceActive Top Secret clearancePreferred Additional Skills:Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) utilizing MagicDrawExperience with Software test automation tools (EggPlant highly preferred)Familiarity with all phases of the software development life cycleExperience with Agile & DevOps methodology and cultureProficient experience with JIRA, Confluence, and/or equivalent applicationsPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedAble to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and/or standard accepted practicesIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $85,000 - $158,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
