At Lockheed Martin, we apply our passion for purposeful innovation to keep people safe and solve the world's most complex challenges.We are seeking an experienced Algorithm Developer/Engineer to develop algorithms for both our missiles and fire control products in one or more of the following areas: navigation, inertial tracking, and image/signal processing:Navigation Algorithm Development:

Involves inertial navigation, strapdown navigation, attitude and velocity keeping, GPS-Aided navigation, non-GPS-Aided navigation, magnetic navigation, star-tracking, visual navigation, and more.Inertial Tracking Algorithm Development:

Includes extended and unscented Kalman filtering, non-linear state estimation, multi-sensor fusion, and machine learning techniques.Image and Signal Algorithm Development:

Focuses on image processing, target detection, automatic target recognition, and hyperspectral image processing techniques.What You Will Be Doing:

In addition to algorithm development, this engineer will be responsible for the development of complex models and simulations, evaluation of system performance, and verification of requirements. They should be comfortable developing and presenting technical material to leadership and customers.Basic Qualifications:Degree(s) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar.Professional experience and demonstrated proficiency in math related to Kalman filtering, optimal state estimation, and image processing.Demonstrated expertise in developing and analyzing algorithms related to navigation, inertial tracking, or signal/image processing.Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C++, Matlab, Python.Interim Secret Clearance is needed prior to start; must be a US Citizen.Desired Skills:Experience with linear algebra software packages.Strong programming skills in C++ development in a Linux environment.Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real-time performance requirements.Experience developing algorithms using AI/ML techniques.Knowledge of electro-optical/infrared detection technology.Security Clearance Statement:
