Senior Software Engineer/ C+ Developer

AMET, Inc., a progressive manufacturing company in Rexburg, is currently seeking a qualified, self- motivated individual to join our team as a Software Engineer/ C++ Developer. This salaried, exempt position will work on a team with other software engineers to complete various software tasks and projects with deadlines.

This individual will be involved in Developing and Maintaining Software for AMET's line of welding control products. Technical responsibilities will include development/maintenance work on cross platform Qt5-based GUI for system operator interfaces, C/C++ development on embedded systems for process control, and data management applications used to visualize/archive process data.

Full time Developer Required Skills/Experience :

· Experience with modern C/C++

· 5-10+ years software development experience

· Good understanding of Linux operating system

· Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Technical Skills/Experience:

· Networking

· Industrial communication protocols (CAN, DeviceNET, EthernetIP, ModBus, EtherCat)

· Qt 5/QML

· Git/Subversion

· Familiarity with signal processing, control theory, and RT operating system concepts

· Embedded development
