Dallas, TX - HybridJob DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in a hybrid role, with on-site work required one day per week. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SQL Server programming, a strong understanding of relational database design, API development, and cloud-based data integration, particularly within the Azure environment. This role offers a competitive salary, bonus opportunities, and benefits, providing an excellent opportunity for growth and development in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.ResponsibilitiesSQL Development: Write, optimize, and maintain stored procedures, functions, queries, joins, indexes, and SSRS reports in SQL Server 2019 and 2022.Perform database performance tuning, focusing on stored procedures, set-based code, and index creation and management.Implement and manage indexing strategies, including OLAP/OLTP indexing, Columnstore, partitioning, and compression.Develop ETL/ELT processes and container instances using C#, Python, Script Tasks, and PowerShell.Monitor and enhance Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, ensuring workflows are executed accurately and on schedule.Convert business requirements into robust system designs.Own and maintain the database schema, overseeing its current design and planning future improvements.Serve as the SQL Expert within the team, collaborating with programmers and other stakeholders.Design, develop, and maintain Azure Logic Apps to automate workflows and integrate services and data sources.ExperienceA minimum of 5+ years as an MS SQL programmer in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing large-scale, reliable, and scalable database solutions.In-depth knowledge of SQL Server 2019 and 2022, with a strong understanding of security and privacy concerns.Technical SkillsExpertise in SQL, T-SQL, and relational database programming and design.Proficiency in C#, Python, PowerShell, and other relevant scripting languages.Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, and other Azure services.Strong understanding of API development, particularly RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.
