This opportunity is at Englewood Public School District (CHT)Englewood School District MonitorUnder the direction of a school bus driver, certified classroom teacher and/or school administrator, the ESS School Monitor assists with the arrival and departure of students on the school bus (AM & PM School Bus Runs). The successful and safe transportation of students on the school bus, to and from school locations and/or events. The ESS School Monitor is also responsible for monitoring students and student behavior in various non-classroom settings throughout the school day, such as during student breakfast time, student lunch time, and student dismissal time. ESS School Monitor/Transportation Aides are responsible for monitoring hallways, cafeterias, facilities, and common areas, as directed.Responsibilities:Maintain a consistent and reliable attendance record throughout the year. ESS School Monitors are scheduled to work every day that students are in-session, from September through August, in accordance with the EPSD School Calendar.Understand and adhere to all ESS and School District Policies and Procedures.Demonstrate cooperation and flexibility in performing other related duties as assigned by school administration and ESS.Report for duty on time and perform all responsibilities in a safe manner.Assist with bus loading and unloading during arrival and departure of students.Seat students on the bus safely using needed seat belts, car seats or wheelchair restraints, etc.Monitor school bus passengers at all times to ensure safety regulations and student conduct rules are followed.Assist driver in keeping the interior of the assigned vehicle clean and presentable.Perform temperature checks, and other health-related checks, on any individual entering a school bus, when directed.Ensure school bus passengers take their belongings with them when leaving the vehicle.Monitor student behavior in various non-classroom settings, such as hallways, cafeteria, facilities, etc.Serve as a role model for students in demonstrating a positive attitude, good moral character, and integrity.Provide instructional assistance to students.Complete all required paperwork and submit to the appropriate employee/department in a timely manner.Qualifications:Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.Valid NJ Criminal History Letter.Negative Tuberculosis test obtained within 6 months of initial employment.Disclosure and review of applicant's employment history.About ESSAs leaders in the education staffing space since 2000, ESS specializes in placing qualified staff in daily, long-term, and permanent K-12 school district positions including substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school support staff.
