MDS Architecture Assessment Engineer

in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will get to support MDA Architecture Assessment efforts in the ongoing development of the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker and/or support the provisioning of missile threat data to ongoing analysis efforts.Job Description:Assist in the development and management of the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker tool, to include reviewing, updating, and organizing gaps and threats.Work closely with other MDA organizations to help them understand and leverage the Capability Gap Tracker while gaining insight into elements that make up the missile defense system.Work to help shape the future of the missile defense system through the handling of missile defense threat data in support of architecture analysis activities.Learn to access various MDA data sources, transferring the data to the DoD HPC for analysis activities, and summarization of the data.Surge support for analysis tasks involving the use of a MATLAB-based missile defense architecture analysis tool on the DoD HPC.Qualifications:Must have Bachelor's degree in STEM field.Must have 3+ year’s experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD program/project.Must have strong work ethic and attention to detail.Must be a self-starter with great collaboration and communication skills.Must have strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.Must have experience with MATLAB & Linux.Must have understanding of System Engineering, including requirements writing/management.Must have ability to handle and analyze large data sets.Desired Qualifications:Experience with QlikSense development, preferred.Experience using high performance computing clusters, preferred.Experience with Model-Based System Engineering, particularly the CAMEO suite of MBSE tools, preferred.Security Requirements:Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.Travel Requirements:Less than 10%.If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.Physical Requirements:Must be able to work in an office environment.Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
