Position/Grade - Senior Network Engineer (L1 Role) -- NOC Engineering
Job Type - 1 Yr. Contract role
Location - Syracuse NY
Academic Qualification - Degree /Diploma in Engineering
(Electronics & Telecommunications or equivalent)
Responsibilities: -
Network Monitoring And Incident Response
Monitor and manage the enterprise network, performance attributes, security alerts, and focus on availability.Respond promptly to network incidents, perform end to end diagnostics, and resolve or escalate issues as needed.
Incident Management
Manage incident by engaging all stakeholders at right time and work towards faster resolution of problem.Manage and document network incidents through their lifecycle.Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely incident resolution.
Proactive Maintenance
Conduct routine checks as per schedule and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal network performance.Implement changes and updates as required to enhance network stability.
First Level Troubleshooting
Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues at initial stage, gather all necessary information regarding the problem/incident, engaging and collaborating with higher-level support teams when necessary/as per defined procedures
Change Management
Participate in the planning and execution of network changes, upgrades, and implementations.Ensure changes adhere to established processes and policies.
Documentation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.KEDB Updates: Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues.Generate reports as per defined procedures
Collaboration
Work closely with other IT teams, including systems administrators, security, and application support teams to drive tickets towards closure.Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for issue resolution and improvements.
Experience and Qualifications Requirements: -
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or network engineering role.Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies, protocols, and best practices.Proficiency in using network monitoring tools and incident management systems, trouble ticketing systems, CMDB etc..Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.Hands on experience and strong understanding of Cisco hardware architecture Cisco 7600, 6800, 4500, 4400, 3800, 3700 2900, 2800, 1900, 1800 etc..

Should possess very good verbal and written communications skills.Ready to work in 24*7 atmosphere and rotational shift modelA good team player, Customer friendly.
