Staff Software Engineer

at CoverMyMeds works with the manager and business stakeholders in understanding the business needs and writing quality code that aligns with the product roadmap in an agile environment. As a member of the product team, you will architect, design, and develop highly scalable and secure software using agile practices, interact with business partners, service providers, and third-party vendors, and take part in different phases of the software development lifecycle.Part of your day will be spent working on the following core duties:Strategy:You are instrumental in helping us set direction for the technical roadmap.Your decisions and recommendations take into account your scope of influence.You see the bigger picture and work to help CMM make better long-term technical decisions.You work with leadership (both engineering/product/business) to prioritize and execute against the technical roadmap.You deeply understand our business and product strategy.Tactical Leader:You work closely with Technical Leadership (EDs/EMs/Staff) to address delivery issues within teams.You diagnose and help push for resolution of delivery issues.You can lead and direct company-wide efforts.You understand CMM's culture and know how to leverage that culture to get things done at your scope of influence.Foster Change:You are able to help peers execute on decision-making.You work with EM's to build out change management processes and procedures.You work with leadership to build strategy and plans for getting commitment across functions.Growing as a Leader:You mentor our more senior staff due to your deeper level of expertise.You realize that peer mentorship exists and know how to navigate that type of relationship.You are able to seek out mentorship to overcome obstacles or further your growth as a leader.Demonstrate Engineering Best Practices:You work with the EM's to establish a culture of Reviews and Risk mitigation.You work across CMM to help establish company-wide best practices.You help drive issues uncovered by incidents to resolution.Technical Acumen:You have a deep understanding of Self-Service's applications and how they interact upstream and downstream with other parts of the company.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field OR equivalent hands-on experience.10+ years' experience as a Software Engineer.5-7 years' experience as a Sr. Software Engineer.10+ years' software architecture and design experience.10+ years' experience in Ruby on Rails, React, Git, Redis, Sidekiq, Docker, Terraform, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Ansible, RSpec, Capybara, and Cucumber.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.Our Base Pay Range for this position:
