We are looking for a talented Application Specialist that will provide expert level support to our Latin American distribution network as well as to our local sales force.Sonatest has been a leading manufacturer of non-destructive testing equipment for over 65 years. We are recognized worldwide for the quality of our cutting-edge, rugged and portable products.Specializing in conventional and phased array NDT technologies, we provide solutions to a wide range of industries, including transportation, aerospace, oil and gas, power generation and civil engineering to name a few.Our USA office is located in San Antonio, and for this role, we are looking for a person working remotely, preferably based in the Houston area.Are you driven by finding solutions and enabling people to make the best use of their ultrasonic flaw detectors? Do you like solving challenging ultrasonic inspection applications? Are you committed to achieving high customer satisfaction, maintaining strong skills, and encouraging collaboration?Your main responsibilities are:Technical Support & Sales Enablement (50%)
Conduct comprehensive product demonstrations at customer sites or remotely.Provide technical product recommendations matching customer needs.Contribute to and lead the design of components necessary for custom applications.Conduct feasibility studies and customer needs assessment.
Develop and communicate innovative solutions (20%)
Conduct studies to develop knowledge in the organization's fields of expertise.Write scientific/technical articles and blog posts.Present at conferences, seminars and webinars.Represent the organization on standardization committees or key influencing organizations.
Create product-related documentation and product marketing tools (15%)
Support the creation of promotional videos, tutorials, app notes, images and brochures.Write, adjust and revise manuals for various products.Support the person in charge of technical writing regarding the documentation to be produced.
Quality assurance and continuous improvement (15%)
Recommend product improvement and log feature requests in collaboration with Product Owner.Test the software as an expert user, in support of the QA team.Validate bugs related to faulty features.Review issues in Jira.
Your profile:Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or relevant field experience using ultrasonic Phased Array and Digital Flaw Detector.Knowledge or experience in the use of ultrasonic NDT technique.Experience in Phased Array UT is a considerable asset.Written and spoken languages: English, Spanish and/or Portuguese at an advanced level.We offer:A professional, relaxed and collaborative work environment.Work/family balance.Statutory holidays and extra days between Christmas and New Year's Day.
