Ignite seeks exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as a Systems Engineer or Systems Architect to support a government client in technology assessments.A multi-disciplinary understanding of the development, interoperability, integration, and interactions of complex systems is critical for this position. The Engineer/Architect will provide expertise in the assessment of adversarial threat systems based on open-source and classified data affecting the air and space domains. The assessments are to feed models, simulations, and wargaming efforts.Duties:Utilize and develop horizon scanning tools to identify candidate emerging technologies and conceptual technologies that could impact warfighting in the space domain.Conduct technology assessments on emerging and conceptual technologies to include an assessment of technology maturation requirements.Develop modeling and simulation requirements based on horizon scanning for threat systems modeling and simulation team.Serve as primary technical interface between the horizon scanning team and the modeling and simulation team.Support cross-domain threat system studies and wargames critical to filling intelligence and information gaps.Collaborate and integrate across a diverse team of operational, planning, intelligence, and acquisitions organizations.Work closely with mission partners across the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC).Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in STEM; Master’s Degree in a related field preferred.Required Skills:5+ years of experience developing or analyzing complex systems and/or systems of systems.Multi-disciplinary background to include two or more of the following: Radar Systems, RF Systems, Propulsion Systems, Optical Systems, Communication Systems, Space Systems, Space and Near-Space ISR, Guidance, Navigation, and Control.Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally interact with team members and government customers.Ability to apply knowledge of analytic tools to develop models, visualize data, and perform a range of analyses.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Desired Skills:Advanced degree in STEM.MBSE experience or formal education.Python programming experience.Space systems modeling & simulation experience.Technology assessment and technical maturation planning experience.The pay range for this role is
$115,000-$150,000
