The GPS Analytics and Cognitive (A&C) offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to deliver insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.
Work you'll do:
The Data Engineer will, under little or no supervision, be responsible for the development of analytical solutions and databases. Develops specifications for the most efficient database solutions. Supports the evaluation and selection of solutions that meet customer requirements. Possesses good working knowledge and hands-on experience with key software platform architectures, web servers, application servers, and relational databases. Performs work involved in one or more of the phases of developing software used in products or services provided to the customer.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree requiredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureActive Secret or Top Secret Clearance Required2+ years of data engineering and architecture experience2+ years of experience in ETL functions2+ years experience with Informatica, Snowflake and/or DatabricksAbility to support a hybrid to fulltime schedule onsite in the DC area
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of prior professional services or federal consulting experienceCreativity and innovation - desire to learn and apply new technologies, products, and librariesStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills
