The teamThe GPS Analytics and Cognitive (A&C) offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to deliver insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.
Work you'll doThe Data Analyst will have advanced Excel capabilities (big data analysis, joins, nested if statements, experience with compiling and analyzing large datasets), be proficient in PowerPoint (data visualization, storyboarding, client-ready presentations), and will have strong written/oral client communication skills.
These skills will be applied to a mission client team working to provide enterprise-level data strategy and management to a federal government agency. This allows for nearly real-time data to be provided to the members of this agency and promotes overall mission success, performance, and improvement.
Required4+ years of professional experience in data analytics4+ years working in structured & unstructured dataWorking knowledge of machine learningWillingness to work onsite in Boston full-time.Active Secret clearance OR the ability to gain Secret clearance (US Citizens with clean criminal/financial backgrounds)The ability to work in the US at any time without sponsorship needed from an employer
PreferredBachelor's degree in a related field heavily preferredConsulting experience is a plusPrior government or DOD experience is a plus
