Job Summary
The Senior Research Data Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining a complex data infrastructure necessary to support evidence-based decision making within the University. This position is responsible for building automated, actionable and accurate reporting dashboards. The position also analyzes the data and develops ad hoc reports and modeling studies for both internal and external constituents.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in math, statistics, computer science, psychology, or related field or a Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, computer science, or related field and related work experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in preceding fields of study.
Considerable programming expertise in SAS/SQL/Python/SPSS or similar.
Working knowledge of data management strategy.
Prefer working knowledge of higher education challenges.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong skills in cleaning, standardizing, filtering, and transforming data to create datasets ready to be analyzed and displayed graphically.
Demonstrated ability to integrate data from different sources, including databases, data warehouses, external sources, etc.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse constituency, both technical and non-technical.
Ability to learn and apply new technologies, both hardware and software.
Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
Considerable experience with Microsoft office suite products, specifically Excel.
Considerable experience developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and displays.
Considerable experience in report writing, programming or project management.
Considerable experience in programming and data visualization.
Preferred Qualifications
Considerable experience as a database administrator.
Progressively responsible work experience with technological applications.
Working experience in Institutional Research or other related field.
Working experience with campus wide information systems and SIS Banner administrative system.
Conditions of Employment
The employee may be required to work during a university closing. There may be occasions where the employee will be asked to work during university closings as directed by his or her supervisor. These instances may include working from a remote location (i.e. telework, etc.).
