The Finance team at a publicly traded SaaS company in Boston, MA is seeking a Financial Analyst (Strategic Finance & FP&A) to join our rapidly expanding company. In this Financial Analyst role, you'll support our leadership by delivering forecasts, analyzing trends, and providing critical insights to guide strategic decisions. We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for data analysis who can uncover key business drivers and effectively communicate insights from financial data. This Financial Analyst role requires a proactive mindset, strong business understanding, and the ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and present weekly forecasts and reporting packages for senior leadership based on actual performance, trends, hiring plans, and strategic projectsConduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis, comparing actual results with plans, collaborating with business partners to understand core driversWork with business and finance leaders to facilitate annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting through financial modeling, analysis, and decision-making supportOversee month-end close activities by partnering with accounting to track forecast variances and ensure accurate financial reportingPerform ad-hoc analyses that contribute to strategic decision-making and operational improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field1+ years of experience in FP&A, consulting, investment banking, or a related fieldStrong business insight with an understanding of essential business driversExcellent analytical and financial modeling skills and familiarity with core accounting principlesHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsMotivated self-starter eager to learn and develop within a team settingEffective communicator able to collaborate with colleagues across departments and organizational levelsAdvanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SQL/Snowflake and Tableau is a plus
