We are committed to creating a positive work culture that fosters growth and development while ensuring the health and safety of our employees.Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the General Manager, the Operations Manager will maintain responsibility for overall shift operations, production performance, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance. The Operations Manager will also maintain and monitor facility and staff for regulatory compliance and safe behavior in accordance with all federal, state, local, and customer requirements.Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Maintain operational documentation to include reports, licenses, procedures, order requirements, etc.Accomplishes production staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.Maintains staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; bench marking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.QualificationsBasic Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED8+ years of supervisory experience2+ years of mechanical experience - Welding, Fabrication, General Maintenance5+ years construction equipment operation experience - Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Screeners, Truck ScaleMaterials processing experienceAsphalt/concrete plant experienceWillingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respiratorPreferred Qualifications:Associate's or bachelor's degreeExtremely organized and attention to detail requiredAbility to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkersAbility to follow directions or instructionsAbility to use a computer to communicate, create, and access informationLabor relations/union management experienceAdditional InformationClean Earth offers competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans starting on the first day of employment; paid time off, wellness benefits, employee discount program, tuition assistance, and a 401k with company matching.We provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, gender identity, or genetics.
