POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the Business Development Officers (BDOs) of the Credit Union. Ensures accurate and timely set up of new loans from the qualification through the booking stages of the loan, assisting in the tracking, monitoring, and advancing of funds for construction loan projects. Provides customer support, which includes responding to member loan questions, issue resolution, and payment corrections (to name a few). Follows best practices using the Credit Union's Business Lending policies and procedures; complies with all state and federal lending regulations and provides the highest level of service and support to Credit Union's members.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Sets up commercial loan files and maintains department files accurately and efficiently. Prepares and reviews internal documentation for commercial loan closings as needed. Works with third-party professionals (attorneys, appraisers, title companies, inspectors, etc.) to close loans conforming to approved terms and conditions. Reviews all loan documents prior to closing to ensure that they cover the intended collateral and documentation of the borrower and guarantor obligations to the bank. Prepares loan funding information based on the approval and closing documents. Processes pre-closing escrow deposits made by customers held against closing costs such as fees, appraisals, etc. Verifies that all pre-closing conditions have been met prior to authorizing funding. Performs procedures related to advances, pay downs, and disbursement process. Assists in the collection of financial documents, titles, and insurance. Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent

Experience:

3+ years of business lending experience

Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of commercial lending, loan processing, and servicing Proven attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Computer skills/aptitude with software
