Paradigm was co-founded in 2018 by Matt Huang (former Partner at Sequoia Capital) and Fred Ehrsam (co-founder of Coinbase). Since then we've been hard at work building a world-class team of brilliant mutants to investigate the world's most beautiful technical problems. Our research-driven approach helps us build relationships with founders and entrepreneurs, but it also reflects our broader goal of growing the crypto ecosystem globally and accelerating crypto's ability to advance the world we live in. Our portfolio is growing, and we're looking for an exceptional individual to join our finance team to assist with fund accounting, portfolio data management, portfolio valuation and periodic regulatory reviews and audits. This person will help pave the path for best practices across the industry and raise the operational standards in the emerging blockchain investment sphere.
Responsibilities
Manage and review daily transactions and portfolio performance metricsAssist with reviewing monthly NAV processManage third party relationships (fund administrator, auditor, valuation provider)Assist with quarterly valuation processAssist with annual audit process and fund's financial statementsAssist administrators with FACTA & CRS complianceContribute to regulatory filings or audits (SEC, CFTC or IRS/FTB, etc.)Support investor relations team with recurring investor reporting deadlines and ad-hoc reporting requests.Perform compliance review of finance policy & proceduresDrive efficiencies and build out new processSpecial projects, as neededQualifications
4-5 years of experience with fund accounting, ideally in a complex, high-volatility space like a hedge fund or venture capital firmA robust foundation in accounting practicesFacility working across departments as part of a small, agile teamGenuine curiosity about the wide-ranging implications of blockchain technology on the way governments and financial markets operateAttributes
