Job Summary:
The ENT Physician Assistant will work closely with our Otolaryngologist to provide high-quality care for patients with a variety of ENT-related conditions. This role involves both clinical and surgical responsibilities, ensuring comprehensive care from diagnosis to treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical exams related to ENT issues.
Diagnose and treat ear, nose, and throat conditions under the supervision of the ENT physician.
Assist in minor surgical procedures in-office, such as ear tube insertions, biopsies, and nasal endoscopies.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and follow-up appointments.
Interpret diagnostic tests such as CT scans, MRIs, audiograms, and other relevant studies.
Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate within the scope of practice.
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
Manage acute and chronic ENT conditions such as sinusitis, hearing loss, and allergies.
Provide patient education on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-surgical recovery.
Coordinate care with audiologists, speech therapists, and other specialists as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system (EMR).
Stay current with developments in ENT treatments and technologies to offer the best patient care.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in Otolaryngology (ENT) preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of ENT disorders, treatments, and surgical procedures.
Excellent clinical skills and attention to detail.
Bilingual speaking preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and the medical team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
