Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Job DescriptionDuties: Assist with the care and management of critically-ill cardiac patients such as patients with cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, mixed shock, complicated acute coronary syndromes, valvular disease, infectious endocarditis, complicated arrhythmias and any other critical care issue complicating patients with baseline cardiovascular disease. This duties will also include rounding in these patients, working as part of the multidisciplinary teams, performing critical care procedures within their scope of practice. Their duties also include managing mechanical circulatory support devices such as IABP, impella and ECMO, as well as participating in family meetings and consultations.Technical skills: Managing ICU patients, including mechanical ventilation, MCS, performing ICU procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, hemodialysis catheter placement, pulmonary artery catheter placement, transvenous pacemakers. Writing H&Ps and progress notes, placing orders for treatment.Minimum Qualifications1. Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant; or 2.
