Job Summary:

This is a position for a per diem adult multi-specialty anesthesiologist primarily to provide clinical anesthesia care in an academic medical center.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will expected to provide anesthetic care in either a care team or personally performed model at sites across the UW Health System. They will also be involved in medical student, resident and/or fellow education.

Required

Terminal Degree

Medical Degree (MD or DO)

Qualifications:

Completion of Anesthesiology residency program and certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

For appointment at Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.

License/Certification:

Required

Wisconsin medical license or eligible for Wisconsin licensure (MD or DO). Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Additional Information:

The ideal candidate for this position should be available for at least 1 to 2 clinical shifts per month.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles listed in this posting. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment. University sponsorship is not available for this position.
