Position Summary
ofi’s internship program is a great way to gain relevant experience to jump-start your career.
You will work closely with exceptional talent, building on our purpose to “Be the Change for Good Food and a Healthy Future” and contributing to critical work for the business.
As a Summer 2025 Intern, you will have opportunities to learn and contribute to what’s on trend in food & beverage while building a robust network, demonstrating leadership skills, and having fun.
As a Spices Supply Chain Intern you will collaborate closely with the Spices leadership team and gain exposure to strategic business operations and project work to optimize and bring cost savings to the business through optimizing raw materials.
The supply chain intern will work cross-functionally with commercialization, quality, procurement, and new product innovation within Private Label Spices and will be exposed to various experts in their respective spice businesses. This project provides the intern with an exciting opportunity to learn the vast landscape of Spices while gaining in-depth knowledge of specific spice attributes in the major categories (e.g., black pepper, cinnamon, turmeric). This assessment will also help the supply chain intern develop a strong commercial and technical understanding of the supply chain for the retail business of Spices.
The ideal candidate should be in good standing with an accredited university and have a desire to pursue a career within the food industry. A desire to learn in a fast-paced environment while working with multiple teams across various locations and effective communication will be required to succeed in this internship.
Position Responsibilities
Achieve significant cost savings in spices businessAssess and analyze current-state processes inclusive of the tools used, data inputs and outputs, etc.Understand material planning and re-ordering process from key stakeholders including procurement managersIdentify strengths and opportunities; lead cross-functional alignment sessions to present proposal for future-state for cost savingsLead and participate in ad hoc projects for the Private label Spices teamPerform other duties as assignedPosition Requirements
High school diploma is required.Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, working toward a bachelor’s degree, Masters, or MBA in Operations, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline. Master/MBA preferred.Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment is required.Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness.High level of integrity, confidentiality and data protection are required.Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.The pay for this role in the state of New Jersey is $20 + per HR and is based on the position's responsibilities and geographic location.
