Position: Physician Assistant (PA) - Wound Care Experience Location: New Jersey Type: Full-time
Job Summary: As a Physician Assistant with Wound Care Experience, you will be an integral part of our Wound Care and Management Department. Your expertise in wound assessment, treatment, and management will be essential in improving patient outcomes and promoting wound healing. Working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, applying evidence-based practices to deliver the highest standard of wound care.
Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with acute and chronic wounds, considering their medical history and unique needs.Develop individualized treatment plans for wound care, including appropriate dressings, therapies, and interventions.Perform wound debridement and assist in minor surgical procedures as required.Collaborate with wound care nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize healing outcomes.Monitor wound healing progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.Educate patients and their families about proper wound care techniques and preventive measures.Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and documentation.Stay informed about the latest advancements in wound care and evidence-based practices.Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant.Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Physician Assistant, with specific experience in Wound Care and wound management.Certification in Wound Care (CWCA® or CWS®) is highly preferred.Proficiency in wound assessment, debridement techniques, and wound dressing selection.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team.Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering patient-centered care.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Dedication to professional development and continuous learning.
