We are currently seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity near Charleston, WV. This position is ideal for a physician looking for a short-term but impactful role, providing critical orthopedic services to a community in need. The assignment is set to begin ASAP and will extend until November 1st, with the possibility for future opportunities.
The physician will be required to cover both scheduled clinical hours and 24-hour emergency call. The role includes performing surgeries, seeing patients in the clinic, and providing emergency room orthopedic care. The schedule offers a mix of surgery days and office hours, creating a dynamic work environment with variety in daily duties.

- Schedule Details:
- Office Hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
- Surgeries: Conducted on Mondays and Wednesdays
- ER Call: 24-hour ER call coverage for orthopedic emergencies
- Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery
- License Requirement: Active West Virginia medical license required
- EMR System: MediTech
- Privileges: Temporary privileges available
- Call Type: 24-hour ER call coverage
- Holiday Coverage: Must be available for select holidays, including:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- 4th of July

- Hospital Certification: Stroke-certified facility
- Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 4 days

- ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support)
