Responsibilities
Assist with the complete catering setup in accordance with banquet event order (BEO), including but not limited to, tables settings, buffets, and beverage stationsAccurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely mannerPerforms necessary tasks to service guests including, but not limited to, filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing dirty dishesNotifies guests of food and beverage preparation techniques and has knowledge of menu offeringsMonitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaintsReplenishes food on buffet lines if necessaryMaintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow associatesEnsures proper stock of all product and supplies needed for serviceBreaks down event according to company proceduresMay be required to bus tables during and at completion of eventPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications
Must be at least 16 years oldMust be available to work during the dayMinimum of 1-3 months previous experience in food & beverage service or related guest service environment preferredAbility to complete required pre-employment food safety and alcohol service trainingAbility to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work under pressure and handle multiple table assignments at one timeAbility to work with the varying event schedule is preferredStrong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctlyPhysical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for set-up, service and clean-up of functionsAbility to stand or walk for entire length of shift; may include walking up and down stairsGood mobility to maneuver between tables to deliver food to customersOversee events indoors as well as outdoors, regardless of weather conditionsMay be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme heat and cold, depending on seasonShift Details
