This job is primarily responsible for managing multi-facility operations in Dwight, IL and Homer, IL. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, safety, risk management, group profit and loss results, capital asset management, human resources management, business development, customer service, and governmental regulatory compliance. In this job, you will: Develop and implement strategy to forecast, budget, and maximize profits for the assigned group. Manage risk by ensuring adequate controls are in place for A/R, origination and trading positions, legal, corporate policy, and regulatory and compliance matters. Lead, direct, and communicate company's safety program to staff, and when applicable contractors and customers. Manage the acquisition, protection and maintenance of the assigned group's physical and financial assets; operate such assets in a manner to maximize income potential while meeting stakeholder's (shareholders, employees, community) needs. Develop, communicate, and manage individual staff performance expectations that align with company goals. Develop new and expand upon existing relationships to increase group revenue and acquisition opportunities. Lead by example to reinforce exceptional customer service in all areas; including speed of product intake process, accurate product weights and grades, timely and accurate settlements, dissemination of pertinent market information and personal contact. Oversee staffing activities (hiring, training, employee performance management, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, etc.). Ensure staff and facilities are compliant with all applicable state and federal regulations; take appropriate actions to correct/report incidents/findings where applicable. Other duties as assigned. Education

Required - Bachelor's degree.

Experience

Required - 4 years' work experience; including managing a large or multiple grain facility and including grain merchandising experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge and understanding of fundamentals of the grain industry. Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization. Strong decision making and conflict management skills. Strong negotiation skills. Strong time management and prioritization skills, with ability to remain flexible to changing priorities. Ability to work extended hours, such as evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to effective coach, mentor, and lead a large staff. Ability to demonstrate risk management aptitude.

Physical Demands & Requirements

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside where there are limited extremes to heat and/or cold; moderate noise; a normal office environment.

Approximately 15% of time will be spent outside the Group facilities.
