POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure accurate and timely completion to include but not limited to, weekly production closings, inventory trackingand analysis, journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, raw material inventory valuation,accounts payable, vendor claims management and the cost accounting portion of the period end close process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Ensure the accurate accounting reporting for the plant, to include but not limited to, the cost ofproduction, and assessing the input and output costs of production, in collaboration with the local plantmanagement team and corporate accounting.Assist in monthly and annual inventories, including but not limited to perform samples test counts andreconciliations.Ensure accurate and timely reporting on product plant operations costing data to the managementteam.Generate and analyze reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), to identify trends. Recommendand communicate improvement opportunities to stakeholders.Provide various reporting and tracking tools to the plant management team including but not limited to,daily production output, supply & packaging variance analysis, yield variance analysis, and laborvariance analysis. Gather and verify production reporting and investigate any data discrepancies.Oversee and ensure timely payment and processing of Accounts Payable for raw materials, if applicableto specific location.Prepare weekly, monthly and ad hoc analysis and reports.Assists Plant Controller in annual budget process to help ensure accurate completion and timelydistribution to corporate reporting to include but not limited to, compile historical data, preparespreadsheets, and gather standards changes and analysis for the upcoming budget year.Track purchase variances and analyze to identify trends, opportunities and areas of improvement.Other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or four (4) years equivalent experience in accountingPreferred Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing environmentTwo (2) years of accounting experienceKnowledge of SAP Integral SystemKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITITES (KSA's)

Experience working under tight deadlines, while ensuring a high level of accuracyExperience with detailed research and analysisExperience communicating and working with mid to upper-level managementFull understanding and experience with payroll, accounts payable, cost accounting, general ledger accounting, budgeting and capital expendituresSupervisory experience or equivalent team leadership experienceProficient in Microsoft Office that includes Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Strong research and analysis skillsAbility to identify issues and solve problems independently and accurately under time constraintsAbility to maintain good working relationships with location manager and supervisorsAbility to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines on short noticeStrong communication skills including public speaking to groups of 50-200 employees as well as the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with upper-level senior managementAbility to effectively lead the department to adhere to policies and meet department deadlinesAbility to complete time sensitive projects on your own with limited but reasonable guidanceAbility to effectively write and communicate capital expenditure requestsENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to work in an office and plant environment with exposure to noise, equipment and machinery.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping,kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling theuse of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well ascommunication through automated devices such as the telephone. The noise level in the work environmentranges from normal office levels to loud.
