Tidal Construction Group LLC (“Tidal”), a rapidly growing commercial construction company, is seeking a Project Manager to support and lead the planning and execution of commercial construction projects. This role is primarily office-based, with a minimum of one day per week spent at the job site. Tidal operates along Florida's east coast, from West Palm Beach to Miami, and on the west coast in Tampa.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for complete management of the project in accordance with contract documents, beginning with turnover from estimating through close-out. Scheduling will be a major part of the daily responsibilities for this position. Additionally, you will be accountable for quality, timeliness, profitability and safety of construction projects ranging in size from $2M to $10M. You will have the capability to oversee the largest projects that Tidal has in its workload or multiple smaller projects.
The Project Manager maintains a relentless focus on ensuring that all aspects of our services are being delivered at the highest level to ensure that the Owner/Client is satisfied.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee contract administration, scheduling, change orders, submittals, procurement, and project financial setup, promptly reporting any deviations. Generate the primary schedule, including weekly updates and critical path analysis, encompassing the work plan, budget, and staffing for each project phase. Arrange for the assignment of project personnel. Monitor field supervision through directives, inspections, meetings and reviews. Prepare pay applications, change orders and all project close-out documents. Be versed in preparing, leading, and managing OAC meetings and ensuring all issues have action items and are followed through on. Well-versed and experienced in complex interior renovations. Must be a hands-on construction professional and provide support for Field Superintendent as required. Mentor and leader to future Assistant Project Managers. Minimally 2x per week at the project site for project walks, reviews and meetings Ideal Candidate - Construction Project Manager - Construction Manager - Project Manager Construction - Construction Management - Construction Project Management-Senior Project Manager Requirements Minimum of 7 years of project management experience in commercial construction. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Completion of, or ability to complete, all safety trainings and requirements, including OSHA 30 training. Proven experience leading and managing multiple construction projects. Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, and labor reports. Highly motivated, cost-conscious, organized, and capable of multitasking with strong communication skills. Ability to lift heavy objects (40-80 lbs.) by hand or with equipment, using proper equipment or seeking assistance from a team member when necessary.
