Talmo & Associates is seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker to clear goods through customs.
Responsibilities:
Provides customers tariff classification, valuation, marking, general customs and other government agencyGuides customers through CBP requirements and processes by preparing and submitting documents, determining tariff and duty payments, and tracking shipmentsClassifies shipments, inputs data, and makes corrections and adjustmentsResolves customer problems promptly, professionally and in compliance with the lawProvides guidance to importers to help them understand and meet CBP and other government agency rules and regulationsProcesses post-entry work including: ruling requests, CF 28's, refunds, protests, and drawbacksPrepares billings for entry-related servicesWorks with CBP to resolve problemsWorks within the department to ensure all transactions are processed on a daily basisStays up-to-date on customs and other government agency changesPerforms additional duties as assigned by management.Qualifications::
Licensed Customs BrokerThe ability to communicate clearly and persuasively written and verbally, and in presentations, tailoring the message to the appropriate level of audience using easy-to-understand terminologyAttention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment, pivoting tasks to best meet business needsManages complex transactional or emotional customer situations promptly and professionally meeting commitments and service standards
