Position Information
The Department of Physical Therapy invites applicants to apply for a full-time, twelve month position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. The Coordinator works under the supervision of the Department Chair of Physical Therapy and the Director of Clinical Education. The Coordinator facilitates the attainment of student program goals related to clinical education for the Department of Physical Therapy.
ResponsibilitiesAssists the Director of Clinical Education to maintain clinical sites (this involves but is not limited to assisting with the acquisition and renewal of clinical affiliation agreements.Gathers liability insurance information, clinical instructor processing, and collection and review of data for each clinical site, including medical requirements, in order to attain patient demographics, team composition, and the ability of the clinical site to meet program expectations).Assists with the coordination of clinical rotations.Produces clinical education assessment reports.Updates clinical education documentation.Assists with clinical practicum coordination and scheduling.Performs other departmental duties as assigned.Classification25-0000 Education, Training, and Library Occupations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.Three years of experience in higher education or a human relations setting.Experience in coordination of services, scheduling, assessment, and report generation.Experience with computer applications to include database management and standard software packages.Preferred Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Excellent communication to include written communication skills.Must have organizational and self-motivational skills.Must have data analysis management skills.Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians, students, administrators, faculty, and the general public..
