Vice President of Revenue Cycle - Corporate | Summit Healthcare Mgmt | Franklin, TennesseeAbout the Job:The Vice President of Revenue Cycle is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the revenue cycle process within the organization. This includes managing billing, collections, reimbursement, coding, compliance, and overall financial performance related to revenue generation. The role is responsible for maintaining and growing the revenue cycle for Summit to include all facilities' business office and utilization review functions. The revenue cycle includes the management of the centralized business offices as well as single site business office personnel and daily functions of billing claims and cash collections.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading Summit enterprise-wide revenue cycle function, including developing the strategic direction for the function, delivering on operational and financial performance goals, and identifying, analyzing, and implementing solutions to critical revenue cycle issues.Drive enterprise-wide initiatives to improve Summit revenue cycle capabilities, including denials management, revenue integrity, bad debt and collections functions, billing optimization, financial and operational metrics and reporting, training and development, and information technology performance improvement.Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the operations team, the finance team and other functional leaders, and our clinical partners.Be highly motivated and experienced in driving organizational transformation - a relentless executor who has effectively executed large scale revenue cycle transformations.Drive significant change management around data management and data utilization, developing and executing a roadmap to get to a standardized RCM approach - requiring long-range planning capabilities, strong relationship skills and a great understanding of the criticality of execution.Identify and implement the right information technology tools to most effectively and efficiently execute the Revenue Cycle strategy.Bring awareness and expertise of current external issues related to revenue cycle (e.g., regulation) to the Summit leadership team.Be responsible for ensuring that compliance standards related to revenue cycle activities are adequately met.Be directly responsible for a 100+ person team with a geographically distributed footprint; responsible for managing and developing a results-oriented team and ensuring sustained high performance.Conducts regular audits and assessments to identify revenue leakage, coding errors, and billing discrepancies, in tandem with implementation of corrective actions.Sets and monitors progress towards revenue cycle key performance indicators.Maintains appropriate internal revenue controls and assists the accounting team with annual audit of reported net revenue.Other duties as assigned.Education/Experience/Skill Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field required. Master's degree preferred.Five or more years of supervisory/management experience in revenue cycle field required.Previous Behavioral healthcare and proprietary healthcare system experience preferred.Certified Public Accountant and/or active professional membership in Healthcare Financial Management Association preferred.Eight or more years' experience required in the revenue cycle field demonstrating ever increasing and progressive responsibilities, particularly in a geographically distributed health system.
