Principal Solution Architect
to work in our
Arlington, VA
office.
ECS is looking for a Principal Architect who is passionate about driving innovation through technical maturity and enterprise transformation to help solve and implement the evolving challenge of integrating those concepts within the Government Architecture.
The Principal Architect will be a member of a high performing team and will play a key role in painting a vision while merging technical, business, and customer needs into achievable objectives and driving the completion of those objectives. As an expert in delivering technical projects, the Principal Architect will identify challenges and improvements of to process, organizational practices, technical innovation, and culture; then lead cross functional team members solution and deliver improvements.
They will also apply their technical expertise across multiple technical disciplines to share the best approaches and solutions with our customers to improve complex strategic solutions and meet enterprise needs.
Strong candidates will have a track record of identifying strategic improvement opportunities, leverage innovation, creating interest and buy-in, and executing on their vision.
**This position requires candidates to be on-site 2 days a week in Arlington, VA**
Essential Responsibilities :
Provide thought leadership with internal team and customers to drive technical solutions, improve organizational practices, and strengthen cultureLead the definition, design, development, implementation, and operation of complex enterprise solutions ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency for Cloud based and/or Hybrid environments.Support Program and Business Development efforts through maturing strategic solution ideas and aligning them with customer needs and business cases.Serve as technical lead building solutions that integrate capabilities like: application development, data management, data analysis and AI, operations, cloud, and cyber securityMaintain high performing teams and mentor high performance individuals who can achieve excellent results throughout the design, build, and operations phases of the technical solution delivery lifecycleBuilding solutions that make use of data to improve business insights, help with operational decisions, and support performance managementHelp business, design, and technology stakeholders work together to achieve resultsLeverage latest technologies, trends, and best practices to ensure secure, high-performance, reliable and scalable needs for enterprises.Must be a US CitizenAbility to successfully maintain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)/DHS SuitabilityMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing, engineering, and providing operational support for enterprise environmentsMinimum 5 years of in-depth experience/proficiency of Cloud Architecture and Engineering specifically on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure Cloud, and Google Cloud and other IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and Hybrid Cloud offerings.Proficiency with core infrastructure components within an enterprise such as firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security, etc.Demonstrated experience with Cloud Networking and supporting migration of on-premises network infrastructure to cloud-based or Software Defined Networks (SDN)Experience with Cloud Identity and Access Management framework and practices to support enterprise solution architecture.Proficiency in requirement definition based on engineering plans for design considerations to deliver tailored solution architecture, design, and implementation to meet customer requirements.Experience leveraging security best practices for system integration and design, such as NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)Experience with Automation, Orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Experience producing technical documentation to communicate system designs such as System Design Documents, Detail Design Document, and Requirement DocumentsExperience transitioning from architecture and engineering to Operations and Maintenance (O&M) teams utilizing tools and frameworks such as SDLC, DevOps, ITSM, etc.
