Manufacturing/Engineering Program Manager Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overall program performance including cost, quality, and schedule. The Manufacturing Manager will manage the program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
Primary Qualifications:
Responsible for program cost, schedule, and technical performance on engineering development programs from prototype to full qualificationDevelop, manage, and maintain a detailed IMS in conjunction with the engineering program planners to ensure contract deliverables are effectively monitored and tasking is disseminated to respective teams appropriately.Participate in proposal preparation, developing estimates and soliciting and reviewing inputsLiaison to receiving production teamWork Instruction creationTest Equipment checkoutDevelop, manage, and maintain a risk and opportunity register in conjunction with the R&O manager; responsible for soliciting, understanding, validating, and reviewing risks with cross-functional teams.Participate in program reviews with internal leadership, prime contractor, and USG customers, and be able to communicate program status, needs and dependencies effectively.Experience with Microsoft Office productsExcellent communication skillsRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and five to seven (5-7) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and five (5) years of relevant experienceStrong level of knowledge in program management or operations managementExperience leading cross-functional teams on large, complex programs with concurrent design and production build activitiesAbility to effectively influence and lead others in a matrix organization by proactively reviewing program progress and course-correcting teams, driving issues to closureUnderstanding of the DoD contracting process and being able to guide a team through the RFI, proposal, negotiations and contract award/execution and program closeout.Experience leading multifunctional teamsExcellent communication skillsThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is requiredU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceMust have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirementsCompensation:
