Job Responsibilities:

Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.Greet guests, answer inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate individuals or departments within the organization.Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.Provides clerical support to the HR and Accounting departments.Records daily journal entries for the Grove Hotel and additional journal entries as needed.Assists with donation requests.Assists accounting functions by answering employee questions, processing employee garnishments, verifying direct deposit accounts, and distributing pay cards and checks.Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, employee parties, and various celebrations.Assist with the recruitment process and job postings.Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to multi-task, shift priorities, and remain organized in a constantly changing and fast-paced environment.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.

Solution-oriented self-starter with a strong service orientation.

Ability to develop & maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and throughout the organization.

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
