What does a Staff Accountant do at Rinnai?
The staff accountant is an accounting resource for the Finance, Manager, Consolidations. This position is primarily responsible for month end closing activities, account reconciliations, and account analysis. The position is also responsible for month end reporting and internal and external audit requests.This position is located at 103 International Drive Peachtree City, GA with a hybrid schedule.Other Perks/Benefits: Best-in-class health benefit programs that provide eligibility on 1st day of employment, 401k match, Paid Volunteer Community Service Day, and so much more.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete monthly closing activities according to the month end timelineCalculate, prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentationAccurately assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAPEfficiently maintain and update reports used for monthly and quarterly reporting using Syteline/CSI, data warehouse, and Oracle FCCSSupport the preparation of consolidated monthly and quarterly reporting to Rinnai Japan as requiredPrepare and present monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting documentationWork with FP&A on annual budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analysisSupport internal controls evaluations, JSOX compliance, risk assessments, and reviews of risk areasParticipate in quarterly balance sheet reviews and extended Finance team meetingsPrepare supporting audit schedules and analysis as needed and interface with external auditors quarterlyMaintain an atmosphere of continuous improvement and teamwork dedicated to achieving corporate and departmental goalsMaintain an awareness of, and compliance with, company policies and proceduresProvide analytical and financial support to other departmentsREQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required2 or more years' experience in a corporate accounting environmentStrong understanding of US GAAPSKILLS
Extremely detail oriented, accurate, and able to complete assignments on timeProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsAnalytical, flexible, and able to adjust to and learn new processes and proceduresStrong people, analytical, and reasoning skills requiredStrong sense of, and compliance with, ethical standardsExcellent oral and written communication skillsABILITIES
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive changeAbility to multitask with competing prioritiesAbility to comprehend and follow company policies and proceduresPhysical Requirements:
Physical Activities
Constant standing and sitting for prolonged periods.Constant communication with others.Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds.Repeating motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers, inputting data into ERP system.Environmental Conditions
