Position Summary
The primary focus of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is to attract and hire a qualified pool of talent through innovative approaches to the market. Partner with managers to understand workforce needs and candidates profile to develop a full cycle recruiting approach to fill the pipeline with qualified individuals from diverse candidate pools.
Required QualificationsAA/BA in related field and 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.Knowledge of Federal, State, and employment regulations and policies, required.Strong initiative and solid judgment.Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships both within and outside the organization.Possess excellent organizational skills.Strong command of written and verbal communication.Well-developed knowledge of a full lifecycle recruiting components.Good understanding of the organization's overall business and its objectives.Ability to perform in cross-functional team approach and job responsibilities.A multi-tasker with strong ability to work under pressure.Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and produce quality results on time with attention to detail.Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.Proficient in using computers with related knowledge of software programs and the Internet.A valid California driver's license with insurable driving record.Essential Responsibilities
Partner with managers to create and execute innovative recruiting strategies that fill vacant positions.Identify and screen high caliber candidates that match our job qualifications and experience requirements.Provide recruitments consulting and guidance to hiring managers to support our full cycle recruitment including sourcing, assessment, and selection to recruit top talent in an efficient, cost-effective, and value-add manner.Develop candidate pools through various sourcing methods to include job boards, online sourcing websites, networking, external referrals, employee referrals, recruitment fairs, professional associations/organizations, college alumni/associations, etc.Initiation of Background checks including employee eligibility verifications, lab slips and IT PANS.Data entry for new hires and timecard corrections.Manage job requisitions and job descriptions.Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system.Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Assist with welcome orientation including but not limited to setting up, getting food and clean up.Enters documentation in the employee electronic files.Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.Think strategically and execute proactively with a sense of urgency to fill current needs.Must provide excellent customer service.Travel up to 10% to conduct recruiting events.Perform other duties as assigned.Benefits

The work environment is characteristic of an office environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
The employee may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be ill, using substances and/or not attentive to personal health and safety for themselves or their homes. The employee may experience a number of unpleasant sensory demands associated with the client's use of alcohol and drugs, and the lack of personal care. The employee may also be exposed to bodily fluids (blood, urine) and hazardous chemicals.
