Job Duties
This position serves as Assistant Unit Manager on assigned units, providing administrative and clinical support to the Unit Coordinators, Recovery Team and patients. This position provides professional nursing care to all patients and supervision of nursing staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each unit has an average patient census of 16-40 patients. In addition to the unit responsibility, these positions share department-wide duties that include recruiting, employee safety, committee work, protecting patient rights, policy development and review, as well as employee training.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Driver's LicenseLicensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing as RNGraduation from an accredited school of nursingThis position requires some shift work and the ability to work overtime hours when required
Additional Considerations
ANCC Certification in Geriatric Nursing strongly preferredANCC Certification in Adult Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing preferredPGH or similar institution experience preferred
