LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for an industry leading client located in Southfield, MI. The role will focus on general ledger maintenance, preparing accurate monthly financial reports, reconciling general ledger accounts, reviewing reports for inconsistencies and inaccuracies, supporting external audit activities and executing other ad hoc reporting and departmental requirements.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, maintain and reconcile g/l account balances
Ensures compliance with local tax and audit requirements
Reviews and analyzes financial statement accounts for accuracy
Conduct variance analysis and present findings to management
Assists with month end close process
Posts journal entries
Provides support for external audit activities
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
3-5 years of experience
Public accounting experience / CPA designation a plus
Strong analytic skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications and spreadsheet applications
Working experience in integrated accounting software (SAP a plus)
