The System Integration Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless integration of the PHMSA Vulnerability Tracker with existing systems and platforms, supporting PHMSA's mission to ensure the safe transportation of hazardous materials. The specialist works with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure integration solutions.
What You Will Do:
Lead the integration of the Vulnerability Tracker with PHMSA's existing infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.Design, develop, and maintain APIs and middleware solutions to ensure seamless data flow between systems.Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts to support integration tasks.Apply Agile methodologies to ensure the integration efforts align with project timelines and stakeholder requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve any integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.Implement best practices for system integration, ensuring security, scalability, and maintainability.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all integration activities.What You Need:
Bachelor's Degree or related experience.Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. US Citizen or Green Card EAD is required.10+ years of experience in system integration, focusing on government or large-scale IT projects. Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies. Expertise in API development, middleware, and data integration techniques. Proven experience with secure coding practices and system architecture.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with integration of systems using Angular and AWS services.• Familiarity with PHMSA's IT environment and federal security standards.• Ability to manage multiple integration efforts simultaneously within an Agile framework.
