JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet and greet clients to detail events booked by the Director of Sales.Prepare room blocks, proposals, confirmations, thank you letters, function sheets, rooming lists.Communicate with clients to gather final counts and final payments.Preparation and distribution of Banquet Event Orders daily.Coordination of all groups.Maintain a file of competitive studies of local hotel rates and update periodically as needed.Collect and complete report for market share analysis.Prepare group resumes for manager's meetings.Maintains department office area in an organized and professional manner including supplies and equipment.Implements and maintains filing system, both paper and computer.Answers the telephone in a professional manner and assists guests with any questions, directions to the property, etc.Creates cost-saving controls, ensures economical and safe use of supplies and equipment.Perform various other duties as assignedDrive traffic to the hotel and on-site dining through concepting and executing dynamic marketing plans inclusive of advertising, email campaigns, local events, programming, and sponsorshipsDevelop relationships with local like-minded businesses to create meaningful partnerships. Interact and build relationships with the student body to generate brand awareness andEngagement Work directly with PR agency to drive awareness of the hotel and food and beverage outlets in local outletsAssist with creating and updating property marketing calendars. Concept and execute programming events for the property and food & beverage outletRun organic social media account for the property. Collect and create content, draft content calendars, and interact with community on social platforms to drive followers andEngagement Assist with property marketing and promotions by being involved in design and creation process for promotional materials such as e-blasts, advertising, and collateralManage property marketing budgetsPerform various other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
Minimum of two (2) years in hotel service role or sales experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Outgoing personality
Always maintains a professional image through appearance and dress
Ability to work collaboratively with hotel service team in providing exceptional customer service
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate ability to achieve sales goals
Proactive sales approach; assertive and fast paced, driven to succeed
Excellent time management skills
Understands need time strategy as developed by Revenue Management
Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Drive traffic to the hotel and restaurants through concepting and executing dynamic marketing plans inclusive of advertising, email campaigns, website features, local events, programming, and sponsorshipsManage multiple local PR agencies to drive awareness for each propertyManage organic social media accounts. Collect and create content, oversee content calendars, connect with influencers, and interact with the community on social platforms to drive followers and engagementSupport property marketing and promotions with copywriting and design for simple promotional materials such as e-blasts, flyers, and collateral. You must be organized, have great attention to detail, and strong follow-thru. You are self-motivated and proactive. If you need someone to micromanage your daily tasks, this isn't a fit for you.
