Human Resources Associate

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) …
While actual roles and responsibilities will vary depending on individual circumstances, the Human Resources Associate will generally be required to perform some or all of the following tasks:
Assist in administering policies, procedures and controls for the Human Resources department.
Maintain and update ADP payroll system software, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Manage the electronic Human Resources Help Desk.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Collaborate with HR team to resolve ADP Workforce Now system issues and implement updates.
Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires to ensure that all new hire documentation is completed timely and accurately, including tax forms, I-9 verification, and assignment of benefit programs.
Manage payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings.
Input new hire information in HRIS database and make necessary updates and changes to keep database current and accurate. Upload documents to employee accounts in HRIS.
Organize and upload necessary documents on shared networks.
Monitor time sheets for accuracy and notify property managers to make corrections as needed.
Provide training and support to management team on the successful completion of bi-weekly payroll processing.
Respond to employee, manager, and external party inquiries related to payroll (e.g. paid time off balances, time record discrepancies, employment verification) and complete payroll investigations in a professional and courteous manner.
Participate in audits and furnish necessary documentation and explanations for payroll and benefits-related data.
Assist with compliance reports and government filings (like EEO-01, ACA, Department of Labor, Census reports, and any state-specific filings).
Complete requests for employment verifications for various agencies as needed.
Coordinate with the finance team to reconcile payroll and benefits data with financial records.
Requirements
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU…
Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of direct or similar experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll software system, preferred.
Effectively plan and organize with an emphasis to detail, consistency, and accuracy.
Identify urgent needs and intuitively identify next steps to achieve quick resolution.
Quickly pivot, multi-task and prioritize in an evolving, face-paced environment.
Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and HRIS experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Flexibility to work extended hours during payroll cycles as required.
