BV Staffing has been retained by a company dedicated to supporting seniors in the community to maintain independence and quality of life.
The Human Resources Director is responsible for determining, and oversite of the human capital strategies in support of the strategic direction of the organization. This person will be responsible for talent management and the organization's total reward program. Additionally, will oversee the HR, volunteer, student programs, and Education department. The HR Director will oversee the employee cycle (from onboarding through exits), employee relations, staff training and development, data and record management, total reward administration, and regulatory compliance. He or she will be a strategic partner with the organization's leadership team and will serve as a consultant across the organization in all HR-related matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general direction and per all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and company policies, procedures, and guidelines, this position includes the following:
Will establish and maintain relationships with managers to assess needs and understand business operations.Drive and champion inclusion efforts and cultural improvement initiatives within the organization; lead employee engagement initiatives.Implement communication strategies that deliver accurate, consistent, and timely information.Manage and lead projects that support organization-wide transformation initiatives.Develops best practices solutions for employee relations issues, including defining a clear investigation process, clarifying roles and responsibilities, ensuring timely responses, consistency, fairness, ethical and & legal compliance, and proper, defensible documentation and follow-up.Coaching and mentoring company leaders to assist them in improving their ability to manage and lead and in developing their staff and themselves; diagnosing situations and acting on opportunities for change; educating on best practice; identifying, providing, and delivering the appropriate HR solution(s); measuring the effectiveness of the solution(s). Manage the job design, descriptions, compensation, and workforce planning process. Manages a diverse team to execute programs and processes across the organizationDefines management and employee training needs; including non-harassment, legal recruiting/hiring; legal discipline/termination, etc.Conducts periodic assessment of performance management system/tools and makes recommendations, plans and executes changes; communicates changes to all employees.Ensures legal compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and company policies, procedures, and guidelines; monitors the regulatory environment for changes, makes recommendations to Executive staff and policy changes as required.Manages total reward including compensation, benefit administration, performance evaluations, and reward and recognition programs.Administers the 403b plan and serves as a liaison between insurance brokers and carriers; must be aware of all related government rules and regulations, including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and fulfill all reporting requirements.Prepares detailed job descriptions and classification systems and develops fair competitive pay structures. Regularly reviews and evaluates positions for reclassification as necessary.Create, execute, evaluate, and monitor employee health and wellness programs that include compliance with OSHA, leave management, worker's compensation process, and unemployment, insurance, and other initiatives.Represents the company at employee UC/HR/EEO hearingsDevelops and maintains HRIS and compliance systems which result in efficient, complete, and accurate record keeping of employee/volunteer background checks, health screenings, vaccinations, training, licensure, and other integrity and job qualification items.Manages employee lifecycle process; this will include the design and oversight of screening, interviews, postings/and applicant tracking database.Responsible for department budget forecasting and monitoring expenses.Directs payroll process and assures compliance with ACA and other regulatory requirementsPrepare and present various reports related to HR and volunteer activity.Communicate with the President regularly.Actively participates in quality improvement to transform work processes and outcomes in support of the company values, policies, and all regulatory requirements.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Knows and adheres to the philosophy and goals of the program.Ensures that services are delivered in a manner adhering to the philosophy, mission, and intent of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly.Maintains a quiet and safe environment for participants, visitors, and staff.Keeps records, reports, and discussions of enrolled and potential participants confidentialParticipates in the formulation and maintenance of company policies and procedures.Participates in committees as requested.Maintains flexibility in schedule and responds to unexpected emergencies, changes in workload, and vacation coverage to fill responsibilities.Utilizes supplies and equipment economically.Identifies service delivery problems and uses good judgment in their resolution.Always maintain a professional appearance and mannerMay serve as a role model for students and staff.Pursues professional growth through the continuing education process.Performs other duties as required.Management reserves the right to add, delete, or otherwise alter assigned duties at any time. Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline. Advanced Degree in related field desired.Required Experience : 5+ years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or Employee Relations Consultant, preferably in a health system.Required Skills:
