The Contract Administrator role will support the entire contract lifecycle, from proposal, through negotiations and execution, to contract close out. This role will focus on customer facing contracts and work with a variety of stakeholders from functions across the organization to negotiate and manage commercial contracts. The role requires understanding and implementation of legal, regulatory, procedural and contractual requirements. The Contract Administrator will leverage digital technology, contracting and project management expertise to assist Beta with a best in class contracting process.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
Support the entire contract lifecycle, from proposal, through negotiations and execution, to contract close out. This role will focus on customer facing contracts and work with a variety of stakeholders from functions across the organization to negotiate and manage commercial contracts.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, obtain inputs from subject matter experts, and contribute to Beta's strategy and contract positions for negotiations.Negotiate directly with domestic and international customers.Identify and advise on risks associated with contract terms. Mitigate risks through contract negotiations and planning project execution.Evaluate RFPs and provide proposal inputs and recommendations on contractual matters.Ensure contracting reflects business, compliance and legal requirements and appropriately implements Beta strategy and procedure.Review, analyze and summarize contracts. Comfortable presenting and advising key stakeholders, counsel and management on the same.Power user and key administrator for Contract Lifecycle Management system that will manage updates to templates, workflows, users, approvers and repository.Validate and manage repository data. Manage reports and dashboards and leverage data for contract management lifecycle. Prepare reports and documentation in collaboration with Legal Operations on the contract performance and associated Key Performance Indicators.Support and assist with organization and project management of complex negotiations.Provide contract administration and management services, including advice on contract interpretation, rights and obligations, assistance with conflicts and claims, renewals, extensions and terminations.Draft and redline contracts. Summarize key issues and seek input and approvals from counsel.Lead initiatives to make the contract management process more effective and efficient. Assist with negotiation guidance and playbooks for Beta's templates.Minimum Qualifications We Are Seeking:
4-10+ years of experience prior experience working as a contract administrator, paralegal or similar role at a law firm or in-house legal departmentIn person or hybrid position for South Burlington, VT officeStrong organization, oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlinesSuperior organization and project management skillsExcellent written communication skillsStrong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft and G-Suites and other legal technologyAccuracy and high attention to detailExperience with different contract types, contract financial structures, and compliance principlesFamiliarity with intellectual property, licensing, and export termsAbove and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you
Experience in aerospace or similar complex manufacturing industry preferredDegree, certification or specialization relevant to contractsExpertise in contract management systems or softwareAdvanced Excel skills and/or data visualization tool experience (Power BI, etc.)US Government contract experience
