Position Overview
Central Texas Food Bank is invested in building a culture of service and high performance. To support this endeavor, we are looking to hire a Human Resources Manager in our Talent Department. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for a variety of human resources-related activities that will include performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, reporting/metrics and compliance with employment laws, and various other human resources related programs. In addition, this individual will assist with recruitment and onboarding as needed.
Relationships
This role reports to the Chief Talent Officer and works in partnership with the Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Manager is in a highly visible position within the Food Bank and liaises externally with various vendors. This position must be collaborative and exhibit leadership values by modeling the way.
Requirements
Your Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
•SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
•Minimum of 5+ years working experience as an HR Business Partner and/or Benefits Manager/Administrator.
•Experience must also include demonstrated knowledge of compliance, metrics, performance management and benefits administration.
•Impeccable discretion, judgment and decision-making ability.
•Capable of seeing the "big picture" and long-term goals.
•Commitment to change management, continuous improvement, and high performance.
•Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Your Responsibilities
•Collaborate with the Chief Talent Officer and Human Resources Generalist to implement CTFB's human resources strategy, establishing accountability, identifying solutions to resolve problems, and fostering a workplace that enables all team members to contribute to the organization to their full potential.
•Guide and coach the management team regarding performance improvement to include disciplinary action, work plans and termination of employees in accordance with company policy while ensuring timely and proper communication with the Chief Talent Officer.
•Document, enhance, develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures to improve the overall effectiveness of the organization.
•Facilitate and provide guidance in HR matters according to CTFB policies, procedures and federal/state laws and regulations.
•Serves as subject matter expert and go-to person on all CTFB benefit and administration ensuring new team members are enrolled by the required deadline and accurate documentation is received.
•Manage the administration of all benefits to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, communicating benefit information to employees, and resolution with carrier representative as needed.
•Oversee open enrollment including communication to staff, system set up, and preparation of benefit, rate and policy documents for team member use.
•Oversee wellness initiatives and the development of additional or enhanced programs for holistic team member well-being.
•Manage benefits data and reporting, ensuring accurate administration of programs like HSAs, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plans.
•Oversee workplace leave programs and accommodations such as FMLA, STD/LTD, EAP, PTO, Caregiver Leave and ADA compliance.
•Liaise with benefits providers and external agencies to address questions and resolve issues, ensuring smooth interactions.
•Conduct research and analysis for reporting, forecasting, and developing customized benefits and wellness solutions.
•Create and deliver clear communications and educational workshops on benefits, wellness and performance management.
•Maintains current knowledge of HR legal and regulatory requirements.
•Develop and maintain an annual compliance calendar to include all required reporting; in addition to being the point of contact for information gathering for annual audits.
•Interprets and educates Human Resource policies and procedures for CTFB team members
•Assist Chief Talent Officer with any ad-hoc HR related tasks and projects.
•Assists in full cycle recruitment activities to include maintenance of the applicant tracking system, screening/interviewing and scheduling.
•Assist in development and conduct new team member orientation as needed.
•Miscellaneous human resources functions, including calendaring events, data entry, report generation, etc.
Working Conditions
•Hours of Operation: Generally Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, some evening and weekend hours may be required especially during peak times, disaster response, or holidays. 3 consistent days on-site required with 2 days remote (if requested), with the understanding the needs of the business may require more on-site days.
•Environment: This position requires sitting for long periods of the time, utilizing computers, laptops, and other technology, and may include working at distribution sites outside. The position also requires working alone and with others on a team.
•Travel: CTFB serves 21 counties in central Texas and often requires same-day travel between counties, using a personal vehicle, CTFB passenger fleet and possibly occasional out of town travel for meetings, special events or meeting for some positions.
