Closing Date:11/22/2024The Nassau BOCES Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology is seeking a Program Specialist I to support the Arts in Education program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assisting the Arts in Education Services Supervisor and staff with the planning, management and delivery of Arts in Education and Exploratory Enrichment programming purchases for students by school districts.Coordinating professional development activities.Assisting districts with program selection to meet curriculum needs.Providing email and telephone support to districts and vendors.Assisting districts in creating and implementing musical instrument lease purchases.Requirements

:

New York State Certification: School District Leader or School District Administrator is required.New York State Professional/Permanent Certification: Music (All Grades) is highly preferred.3 or more years of teaching experience and knowledge of school band and orchestra instruments is required.Excellent managerial, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Experience with instructional technology and applications.Ability to travel within Nassau County.
