The Nassau BOCES Department of Special Education is seeking a Speech Teacher - Leave Replacement.

Responsibilities include:Conducting speech and language re-evaluations for special education studentsDelivering individual and group speech services, as per student IEP mandatesMaintaining accurate records, speech session notes, and Medicaid related documentsCollaborating with teachers, parents, and component school districtsRequirements:

NYSED Certification - Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of Speech and Language DisabilitiesNYS Speech-Language Pathology License and Certificate of Clinical Competence - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association are preferredExperience working with children and adolescents with Autism and/or emotional and behavioral disorders is also preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills
