Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a Temporary Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped to provide comprehensive services that enhance language, speech, and communication development for students. The position is effective immediately through June 27, 2025.

Your Impact:

As a Temporary Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, you will: Assess and understand each student's needs to maximize their speech-language proficiency and communication effectiveness. Conduct individual and group sessions, support with push-in services as appropriate, and collaborate regularly with classroom teachers. Develop and implement instructional strategies, materials, and environments that enhance students' speech and language functioning. Regularly evaluate short-term objectives to track progress. Share your expertise by training special education personnel and parents in augmentative and alternative communication systems. What We Offer:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Valid teaching credential for Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Speech and Language Disabilities. Experience in preparing meaningful instruction tailored to students' assessed needs, IEP goals, and motivational levels. A personal drive for continuous learning and a commitment to enhancing your skills. NYS Certification Required.
