Position Purpose:
The Human Resources Manager will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including onboarding, administering pay, benefits, housing, employee relations, and enforcing company policies and practices. They are the first point of contact for staff.
Qualifications/Skills:At least two years of human resource management experience preferredExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust take initiative to improve processes as neededAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityAbility to train and make presentationsThorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulationsProficient with Google Suite or related softwareProficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systemsDemonstrated experience within Diversity, Equity, and InclusionWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Able to write/type/communicate effectivelyPrimarily based at Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools with potential meetings/interactions/work on all campuses locations. May consider remote candidates.Able to sit/stand at a desk for up to 8 hoursMust be able to lift 15 pounds at timesMust be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilitiesResponsibilities:
Facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand posting requirementsImplements new hire orientation and employee recognition programsResponsible for the daily administration of other HR services, including but not limited to oversight of recruitment, compensation and benefits, audits, performance evaluations, affirmative action/EEO compliance, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, productivity, recognition, and morale, Workers Compensation, housing, and training and development; HRIS, and others as directed or assignedHandles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, handling complex and/or sensitive matters. May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminationsAttends, participates, and oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Works with Managers to resolve employee relation issuesMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawPerforms other duties as assignedOne TSS Responsibilities:
Proactively and positively share the TSS mission and program structure with external stakeholdersMember of the TSS Operations Team and TSS Leadership TeamCross-market TSS programs when opportunities ariseContribute to inclusive work and learning environments through continually developing cultural competency.
