POSITION OBJECTIVE/SUMMARY:The Graphic Designer/Marketing Specialist will support the marketing and advertising department. This role is responsible for assisting in the development of advertising materials, including flyers, brochures, and other promotional content, to enhance the CLARK brand on a continual basis for various departments, including but not limited to sales, marketing, parts merchandising, engineering, HR, and training teams.
The position requires a team player and an innovator, as the individual will collaborate with several different functions within the company. The incumbent will work closely with teams to gather their technical perspectives for specific products or needs (e.g., engineering will be key in the development of product brochures, while parts merchandising will focus on parts programs).
The incumbent will be expected to develop multiple alternatives for each project or task, submit them for management approval, and work with other team members or leadership to see the project through to completion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design brochures, marketing materials, non-technical manuals, and reference materials for customers.Use original and creative thinking to develop concepts and finished materials from rough ideas or customer needs.Translate data and information into clear, concise, user-oriented language.Utilize visual and written techniques to attract users' attention and motivate desired actions.Provide print-ready artwork, review proofs, and approve blue lines.Maintain logs, records, and a reference library of all materials.Assist with advertising budget recommendations.Collaborate with the CLARK design team, engineering department, and sales team on various tasks and projects.Occasionally assist the sales team, dealers, and other personnel at events, trade shows, and presentations to promote CLARK as needed.Stay current with graphic standards and utilize an array of desktop publishing hardware and software tools.Support customer needs for customized written sales promotion materials.Manage a large volume of work requests, prioritize them, and complete them on time and within budget.Communicate effectively across all levels of management, supervision, technical/professional staff, and production personnel.Participate as a team member in meetings and other functions, sharing information, improving relationships, and contributing to team success.Support company policies and demonstrate concern for the business's success.Show attention to the quality of all output and the needs, concerns, and priorities of both internal and external customers.Meet tight deadlines on multiple projects.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, with related experience preferred.Experience with Adobe Suite products such as InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Office and related software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Ability to develop and maintain accurate customer files based on production workflow.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.Willingness to learn new software and hardware technologies.Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.Occasional travel required.Ability to work with printing organizations to complete projects.Photography and video production experience required.Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely without sponsorship.
ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:The incumbent will work in an office environment with regulated heating and cooling. Work involves using the telephone, computer equipment, monitor, printer, and other office equipment, as well as various video and photography equipment. There may be exposure to factory or outdoor environments when creating videos, photography, or other projects.
