Public Finance Associate
to join their
Finance Practice Group . This position is available in Chicago, Detroit, Houston, or Milwaukee.
Candidate Profile:JD
from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.Active Bar admission in Illinois, Michigan, Texas, or Wisconsin, as applicable, in good standing.3-5 years
of substantive
public finance experience .Mid-level bond counsel, lender's counsel, and disclosure counsel experience.Experience working with
state agencies, municipalities, and governmental entities .Knowledge of the principles of
tax, securities, uniform commercial code, and contract law applicable to public finance .Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and matter management skills.Law school
concentration in business law
is preferred.Key Responsibilities:
Represent borrowers, issuers, financial institutions, and governmental entities in
public finance transactions .Provide legal services in areas such as
healthcare finance, economic development, housing, TIF and special assessments, infrastructure, and education .Draft and negotiate complex financial documents.Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on high-stakes public finance matters.Direct interaction with clients and partners on significant matters, working independently and as part of a team.
